SIGHTSEEING AND SHOPPING

Within 10 miles there is the Ocqueoc Falls Park. The small park system includes a campground, four trail loops of different lengths, the waterfalls and picnic area. Indian River and I-75 are about 34 minutes west of Lost Lake. Mackinac Island and Mackinac City, with its shopping and historic forts, are only a half hour drive north on I-75 from Indian River. Alanson, Harbor Springs and Petosky are only a half hour west of Indian River. Gaylord is about 20-30 min. south of Indian River. Alpena is 40 min. east of Lost Lake.
SKIING/SNOWMOBILING
We have four snowmobiles and have used them on the miles and miles of trails in the area around Lost Lake, to Alpena, to Atlanta, Black Lake and beyond. It's a short ride from the property to the groomed trails in the area. A day trip can be planned or just take the snowmobile to town for dinner in the winter.

Skiing is available at Nubs Knob or Boyne Highlands. We have often taken the kids skiing for the day at these resorts.

GOLFING
There are two local golf courses: Stoney Links and Roger City Golf Club. The UAW's Black Lake Golf Course is also located in Onaway, MI. Elk Ridge Golf Course in Atlanta is about a 30 min. drive. All the courses in Gaylord and Petosky areas are within a hour's drive.

HUNTING AND FISHING
There are acres and acres of state land near the property available for hunting. There are several private parcels that are available to rent year round for whatever game common to northern Michigan that you are seeking. We have rented and are currently renting a 59 acre parcel for $600 a year. There is a pond on the property that we are renting, 6 deer blinds, and two food plots. This parcel is located approximately 2 miles from the property on Lost Lake. We have maintained a buck pole on the lake property from a large oak tree a short drive from Lost Lake. There is also bear hunting available.

Charter fishing is available in Roger City, apporximately a 12 mile distance, which has a great habor on Lake Huron.
